Join the Shirley-Eustis House Volunteer Team and Become a Docent!
The Shirley-Eustis House is always seeking individuals who care about people, are excited about sharing their knowledge, open to trying new techniques of communicating with the public,
and most of all, love and care about history! If you have a background in customer service, history, or education, all the better.
Our Volunteer Docent training involves more than just learning about our history and exhibits. We give you the tools to quickly become familiar with your audience so you can personalize each tour and visit. In short, your main role as Volunteer Docent is to make your audience feel welcome by sharing your enthusiasm and inspiring them to learn – and then learn more by returning for repeat visits.
